Necessary materials
To make torches you need wooden sticks and charcoal. To get sticks you first have to cut down trees, so you get wooden blocks. Once you have a few wooden blocks you just have to go through the work table to turn them into sticks. For every two wooden blocks, you can craft four sticks.
Getting coal takes a little longer. In its day we explained how it is achieved. Pick in hand you have to go to a shallow cave or to any other place where there are coal ores and extract the coal by chopping the block.
How to make a torch in Minecraft
Now that you have all the necessary materials, it is time to go through the work table. Place the coal in the center square and a wooden stick just in the bottom square to make four torches. It is done! As you can see it is very easy.
You can put torches on all types of walls and on the floor. As long as it is a solid surface. Of course, the torches do not illuminate much, this is something to keep in mind. If you plan to go out at night it is highly recommended to carry a few torches in your inventory.
