Architecture is now more popular than ever. With shows like Grand Designs inspiring a passion for design and construction, it has never been so prominent. You Can Use Your Brainpower

A good architect will have a wide range of interests and skills, including expertise in disciplines such as structural, electrical, and mechanical engineering. An architect has to balance many calculations in order to bring safe and sound constructions from the drawing board into the real world. This requires brainpower.

You’ll need a variety of qualifications. To find out more, visit the Royal Institute of British Architects site. Architects continue to learn throughout their lives, keeping up with new technologies, skills and building codes. This is the right career for you if that sounds appealing. You Have Vision

You can achieve great things in architecture. There’s no material that you cannot work with, or anything you cannot build. Imagine the stadium and its iconic fabric structure at the London Olympics 2012. This is the career for you if you love working with stone or glass. You can create anything from one-off bespoke pieces to designs that are used by construction companies or building firms.

You Work Hard

Working as an architect means long hours at the office and on site. Architecture is a career that requires a lot of effort and perfection. As you work to make your dream homes a reality, expect it to spill over into your personal life.
