Planning a trip with a sports club or touring squad has many more aspects to consider than standard travel planning.
Fixture Schedule Changes
Change in fixture time or match rescheduled whilst touring – the specialist rebooks flights and hotel for the whole party on most up to date group rates.
Group Visa and Document Requirements
Passport, visa and entry requirements for international travel can be a real headache when travelling as a group or team. As Sports Travel Specialists we have the experience and knowledge to manage these requirements for you in a methodical and stress free way. We will track down all relevant information in relation to the travel documents for you and let you know if there are any problems before it is too late.
Transporting Equipment
Kit bags, medical equipment and large items of sports equipment, such as bikes, rowing blades, etc. do not fit within the normal baggage allowance of an airline. Sports Travel Specialists know which airlines have a group equipment policy and can arrange for equipment to travel by dedicated freight if necessary. See also Specialists in Sport Travel.
Ticket and Accreditation Allocation
Whether you require large numbers of match tickets, media passes or ground accreditation for your team and team officials for a tournament or event then we can arrange these in bulk and allocate them in accordance to the specified deadlines and time frames, ensuring that all supporters and officials are able to attend and participate in the tournament or event. We can keep a record of all issued tickets and accreditation’s, to prevent loss or unauthorized use.
Last-Minute Squad Changes
The late change of a player dropping out the day before travel and another joining at the last minute to travel the next day posed problems. Not only did this affect seat allocations and room assignments but also the insurance of the travelling party. Travel arrangements were updated on a live manifest.
Before you book your group trip it’s worth checking out the ABTA guidance on group travel rights for groups so that you know your consumer protections before you travel.
