The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Finland is an image of cold and snow, the contrasts between the midnight sun and the polar night, and all this because a third of its territory is in the Arctic Circle. But it is also known for being the land of ‘the thousand lakes’ and the home of Santa Claus, for its wonderful northern lights and, surprisingly, for being the happiest country in the world to live in according to the World Happiness Report made by the UN.
